DROP 2 LIVE NOW!

WHO ARE RUNNERS?

Discover a unique collection of hand-pixeled and coloured characters created by two South African-born artists: 8bit and Ayesha. RunnersNFT embodies the tireless passion that drives growth and discovery, and, inspired by pop culture, media and the pixelated art of 8bit and Ayesha's youth, RunnersNFT reveal a glimpse of a possible retro metaverse.

WHY RUNNERS?

RunnersNFT launched with a drop of 64 characters, which sold out in 3 hours. Following the first drop, 64 new characters will be dropping each month until March 2022, for a total of 256 unique pieces (excluding ancillary mini-collections). The staggered release ensures the highest quality of each NFT, as each piece is animated by one of only two artists and is a true labour of love.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

The artists behind RunnersNFT have close ties to the Gertrada Malgas Foundation for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD). The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that South Africa has the largest reported prevalence of FASD globally, with figures as high as 28% in some communities. A portion of the proceeds from RunnersNFT will go towards spreading awareness of FASD and uplifting local families and communities battling the condition.
